Salt Creek Falls Hwy 58

Salt Creek falls is located on Hwy 58, 20 miles East of Oakridge. Salt Creek is approximately 280’ and drops down into a pool. You can swim in this pool but it is mighty cold and the last bit of trail to get there is very slick. This last bit of trail is not governed by any marked areas or handrails so take definite caution.

Willamette ski area

Do you like the snow? Sometimes the cold, even if it is bracing. What about running amok in the snow while the wind blows it all sideways or maybe there is no falling snow and the sun is bright in the brilliant blue sky which of course during this time of year makes things sometimes exceptionally cold, and very easy to get sunburned in the winter.

McKenzie River Viewpoint

To me the McKenzie River is one of the more beautiful yet fairly local rivers and I have never been disappointed in the places I have been. Spanning from Sisters Oregon to Springfield Oregon is a river full of immense and varietals scenery’s ranging from desert environments to mountains, lakes, tributaries, streams to the rainy environments and not only renowned for it’s beauty but for it’s fishing and river rafting as well.

Cougar Reservoir Hwy 126

When full, Cougar Reservoir stretches for 6 miles and covers 1,280 acres. The dam, located at the north end of the reservoir, was completed in 1963. It is the tallest rock-filled dam in Oregon. The view from alongside the reservoir provides outstanding vistas into the French Pete campground to the Three Sisters Wilderness Area which is over 1 million acres. Drive over the dam to access additional campgrounds and boat launches.

Slide Creek Hwy 126

The only real reason why I could tell it was called Slide Creek is that at certain points you can see where the road had washed away years prior, or maybe they were thinking about how slippery it was to try and climb down the hill side when only in sneakers, I can only guess.

Sisters Oregon

Towering forests of Ponderosa pines, snowy Cascade Mountains, pristine rivers, lakes and streams, sun drenched days and star-filled western nights - this is the special beauty of Sisters, Oregon. Sisters is located in Central Oregon, 16 miles NW of Bend on HWY 20.

Suttle Lake Resort Hwy 126

Suttle Lake Resort is located outside of Sisters Oregon, approximately 30 miles West of Bend on Hwy 20 and is nestled among towering pines and against the lake’s edge. A quiet place for solitude, or the activity minded in a country setting.

Terwilliger Hot Springs

A cascading series of hot soaking pools in a valley of old-growth cedars and Douglas fir. The popularity of Terwilliger Hot Springs is well deserved. The hushed stillness of the old-growth forest surrounds a person’s soul as they hike through the woods or soak in one of the many pools of varying degrees.
