Suttle Lake Resort, view of the lake through treesSuttle Lake Resort is located outside of Sisters Oregon, approximately 30 miles West of Bend on Hwy 20 and is nestled among towering pines and against the lake’s edge. A quiet place for solitude, or the activity minded in a country setting.

Suttle Lake Resort offers a wide array of amenities from boat rentals and moorage for private boats to cozy cabins in the waterfront, historic or rustic districts or rooms within the main lodge itself. Or maybe you want to treat a loved one to the open menu of the spa for some relaxation.

Are you hungry then visit the Boathouse Restaurant with its’ exquisite cuisine ranging from small plates to large plates, from cheese bites to perfectly grilled tenderloin that melts in my mouth. Choices from New York steaks, to seafood to mouth watering salads, with the Asiago and Spinach Stuffed Portobella Mushroom salad with Balsamic being my favorite and complimented with the bacon wrapped Tenderloin.

Suttle Lake also offers both outdoor and indoor sites for family to corporate events as well as hosting their own guided events such as river rafting, fishing or hiking. One thing that I noticed that the resort does is they will tailor a guided trip or event for you even if they do not have what you are specifically looking for…maybe it’s a quiet candlelit dinner out in the woods on the lake shore. Suttle Lake Resort is open all year round and has their warm and cold weather activities from quietly boating to waterskiing to snowskiing and snowmobiling and pretty much all inbetween. In the summer I am all over the waterskiing and hiking for hidden streams and in the winter I love snowmobiling around the entire lake, though make sure you have adequate warm clothes and extra gas. Reservations are generally required though in the winter months you may be able to get away with not having a reservation but it is highly recommended either way. For more information and to reserve your getaway time please call 541-595-2628 and keep in mind that this whole experience, and experience it will be is completely handicap accessible and child friendly.
